Writing Lives: A Primer on Biography
In his session “Writing Lives: A Primer on Biography” award-winning Indiana author and historian Ray E. Boomhower will offer tips and suggestions on writing biography, including how to select a subject, how to organize material, and how to conduct archival research. Boomhower, the author of numerous biographies on Hoosier notables, will also delve into the history of writing biography, as well as discussing possible avenues of publication for potential authors and the ins and outs of promoting a book. Registration is required, and is available at avonlibrary.net. Funding for Writing Lives: A Primer on Biography is made possible by a grant from The Friends of the Avon-Washington Township Public Library.
